Position Summary

Care Lodge Domestic Violence Shelter seeks a compassionate, dependable Part-Time Residential Aide to provide direct support and services to individuals residing in our emergency shelter. This position helps maintain a safe, supportive environment while assisting with shelter oversight, crisis intervention, client admissions, crisis hotline coverage, and residents' daily needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support to shelter residents while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
• Assist with client admissions, intake documentation, orientation, and discharge procedures.
• Answer crisis hotline, information, and service calls and provide appropriate assistance and referrals.
• Monitor shelter operations and support residents in following shelter policies and procedures.
• Conduct required safety and security rounds and report incidents, maintenance needs, or other concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and client records.
• Assist with maintaining shelter supplies and monitoring the cleanliness of common areas.
• Work collaboratively with the Care Lodge team while also operating independently as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and adhere to agency policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. At least two years of experience in a residential setting is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and crisis intervention skills and be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible, able to work independently and as part of a team, and committed to Care Lodge's mission, philosophy, and policies.

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20–30 hours per week, with availability for overnight, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements: Duties may require bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and prolonged sitting for more than four hours.

Salary: Dependent on qualifications and discussed at the time of offer.
