Care Lodge is committed to educating our community on issues
relating to domestic violence. Education helps to increase awareness, support
and change. Listed are a few of the educational opportunities we offer. We can
also customize presentations to fit your individual group's needs.
- Law Enforcement- Training on the role of law enforcement in domestic violence
cases.
Care Lodge is certified through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center
(a division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security) and the State
of Mississippi.
- Medical Protocol- Training on domestic
violence detection and intervention.
- Social Service and Other Agencies- Presentations on
Care Lodge services and domestic violence issues.
- Churches- Presentations on Care Lodge services and domestic violence issues.
- Teachers- In-staff training on domestic violence detection in children of all ages.
- Parenting- Presentation on effects of domestic violence on children and building self-esteem in children.
- Children- Age appropriate information on violence prevention and bullying.
- Teens- Presentation on teen dating violence and the warning signs.
